The Next Generation Data Access ?

So Microsoft gave us the ObjectSpaces/WinFS "vision" (remember those); that went nowhere. Last year we got DLinq "vision" and now this ADO.Net entity framework vision. Yawn.




Yet another ORM with XML descriptions and some code generation. C'mon. At least DLinq is introducing someting novel to the process. We have smell, tried and tasted this type of ORM modelling tool (check out llblgen pro)

.Net really needs something like RoR ActiveRecord technology. Look ma, no stupid mappings.
