A Joke to laugh (Egypt-Developers is considering registration Fees) :D

I was going to post this in my Egypt-Jokes blogs, but it is simply too much funny to be posted there :D, so let's give the developers a good Joke to laugh, especially Egyptian ones.
This is really amazing how people think, when somebody consider a discussion board consisting of 10 people to be some sort of business :)
and as a first step for this transformation, The free registration is closed, and The new system of paid registration is announced
Check this out
And the funniest part if you paid money there, and next day you will get banned because, you are a DotNet Developer LOOOL

By the way, in the thread they mentioned a Member got banned twice, Guess Who !!! ;)

LOL i thought u were talking about a real joke in the begeinning, and i was nearly convinced when i read the 1st posts
if u want my point of view as i see it
simply this is another pathatic arabic forum with no real content just "copy and paste" from the other real forums online
and ofcourse it's with arabic management whom take arbitary actions without even consulting other ppl
too bad, egypt developer used to be somehow a good hangout to egyptian developers and a good source for news from the egyptian development market
i would consider this a really very bad fetal move that maybe would terminate there online future

I think we can easily transfer members to a new forums, may be as simple as a yahoo group in which everyone could talk freely without police over his head :D

Why don't you do like I do!? Completely ignore that website.

Hangout in REAL FREE forums with developers who actually GIVE.

......

Ok I am rethinking now. So I never used egypt-developers and one day I consider actually signing up for account. They will ask me to PAY first?! for a forum website!? does the admin understand what a forum is all about!?

If they moderators have a problem managing the forum and the members, then making it a payable service wont solve anything.

Damn, dih fe3lan nokta..we nokta baykha kaman.

Well, the forum itself was an enforcement by the admin, and many were against it.

Many (not most) pro ppl prefer mailing lists to forums. This applies to so many Egyptian developers. That's why "Egypt Developers", the yahoo group, was soo successful. The admin wanted to make use of that success by creating the forum and doing his best to migrate the group users to it, including sending notification about every forum thread to the group.

Of course this helped the forum but just a little bit, and it was harmful to the group as it became quite spammed :(

I'd say that any other migration would likely have the same result. Personally, I just check the folder/Gmail label that has the group posts from time to time.

Again, I don't think there's no use of a new tech community, but I think that the vision for such should not depend on migrating users from other communities, cause people don't get attracted when they feel the direct migration.

The community is a bit silly becoz we here in Egypt dont innovate we only copy and unfortunetly we wrongly copy - Even we have a nice copy we cannot compare with microsoft forums, asp .net forums,developerfustion.co.uk or wrox.com. So why anybody search for help anywhere where those communities are there, but the question why this matter is important for you? I feel the problem between you and Egyptian developers are personal, or it is not worth taking your time blogging it here ;);)
