Just funny note! If you opened the "Why you should attend" section, you find they are talking about MDC06 not MDC07.. it seems they copy paste these words..

Yes, that's because the site is still in test, however any registration you do is real, but the release date for this site is actually tomorrow not today...

All the conferences around the world especially the ones with period more than one day are held during business days, and they are also not for free and not cheap for example PDC, TechEd ... etc
it is considered as a huge push for developers every year to make them up to date with the world, so if the company is good, they are going to send their developers to learn and collaborate directly with technology makers, which will increase their excitement in work
