Hello guys
This Morning -On my way online- I have found in the great Scott Guthrie's Blog that the ASP.NET AJAX team has released a new version of their control Toolkit.
The new version really rocks. they have fixed about 125 bugs and extended some of it's features.

But the biggest thing in this version is the support of the new "ToolkitScriptCompiner" (which can replace the usual ScriptManager Control) to add more behaviors to your page like Dynamically detects which JS- scripts the requested page from your site will need, and merge them all into one file that will be downloaded to the Client's machine with your page.

By this way, you will reduce the amount of bytes that have to be downloaded with your pages and of course, will reduce load time and increase your application's overall performance.

Also, the Validation controls for ASP.NET is now working with the ToolKit Controls.

another thing here is that it still depends on the ASP.NET Ajax1.0, means that you will not need anything to upgrade to the latest version except updating The controlToolkit's assembly to the newer one.

Well, I think Scott is better than me in these things :D
So, let's move together to his post see you there.

I Remember these days when I was holding my mouse for the first time and it really shacked me as it was a new thing to deal with.

But since this time till now there hasn't been any innovative thing as an easy way to use technology devices except hitting keys and pointing with devices and this is an annoying thing to most of the people out there.

But these days have passed away since the new magical and innovative thing that Microsoft came up with.

Microsoft Surface

The image “http://www.sfgate.com/blogs/images/sfgate/techchron/2007/05/29/msft400x268.JPG” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Simply, it's a table, yes a table. But simply too, it's not like any other table.

Imagine that you can see something on your table and you can start play with it with your fingers.

Imagine your family photos and videos are displayed at your Table's surface.

Imagine....imagine....imagine....endless things.

this is Microsoft Surface

http://www.infobaeprofesional.com/adjuntos/imagenes/19/0141971.jpg

a touch-screen table that capable of dealing with many many tasks like

photos, videos,

connecting to external devices.

and much more.

http://www.mobiletechreview.com/image/news/mssurfacecomp1.jpg

this is a kind of today's new technology things but will this Surface will make a difference?

Well, from my little view, I see that this thing will make people imagine their hands as tools they can use to deal with their machines.

Now it's a table, next may be your wall, and next may your entire life will be a touch-driven thing.

i think as everything, we will wait till this thing hit the streets and as Microsoft announced, it will be shipped mainly to companies and business partners and it may cost from 5000$ to 10000$.

if you want to take a look about this thing i recommend that you go directly to the source

Visit http://www.microsoft.com/surface and see what's next for your life.

Note that the site is too slooooooow, so take a break while you are waiting for the magic.

A very cool video is also at PopularMechanics.com

just give it some time to load, you will like it

That's it guys, see you on the table

Hi all

Yesterday was the (real) First day of the Biggest Developers conference in the middle-east and we were all waiting to see what’s new on this year's conference.

I think we all expecting more from Microsoft cause there are too many topics to share with us and to focus on to help us code better.

But as for the first day, this is not by any meaning a conference that holds the title (Middle-east Developers conference).

Why? Let me list my opinion in a few things from the first day:

   -Good Things:

  •  The blind developer: was amazing part and made us all happy and proud of him.
  •  The meeting with ITWorx & ministry of investment representatives.
  •  The jokes on the stage.
  •  Vista Dream Scene: a new magic that lets you sets a video as a Desktop Background.

  - Bad Things:

  •  MR: Karim ramadan(with my all respect) gave us an impression that he is not prepared at all, Don’t know what this conference is about, and finally didn’t say the word we expected from such a respective ,experienced man like him(BTW, I respect him Very much and am really saying this as a comment not as anything else)
  • The Kid's show: I know it was a good idea but-for us as developers-I think we expected more to introduce than bringing two kids to spend 25 min with without a useful word for us. If you want to introduce this thing, sure we will attend if you mentioned about as a separated activity before the conference or even introduce it on the closing ceremony, but to be in the Main Keynote, it's not acceptable at all.
  • I think that for about an hour, you didn’t even say the word (Visual Studio) even one time, and you just concentrated on showing us the improvements for Vista: I know it's good but remember that we are in Developers Conference.

Finally I have a little word, all the previous points (including the good and the bad things) are from my point of view, and I have tried to share them cause we all would like any Conference exists here in EGYPT to be as good as any other one in any other European country or any other conference in the United States.

So, tell us your opinion, share it with us, and sure it's all for us and for Microsoft too. ;)
